Based in our Mansfield, MA location, you will be part of a team that produces valves and related products for Nuclear power plants and US Navy nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers. Safety and quality are paramount and require a highly organized individual. As a QC Inspector, you will be responsible for applying the standard QA policies and procedures to insure all goods are in alignment with customer specifications. AS A QC INSPECTOR, YOU WILL: Follow and implement standard quality procedures. Perform the more standardized dimensional, mechanical and visual inspection of subassemblies, finished and semi-finished components and parts for size, correct material, finish, appearance, and other pertinent requirements. Devise routine dimensional gauging set-ups; make out report and rejection slips and record data to Company specifications. Plan and perform a sequence of operations for inspection using a variety of measuring apparatus such as micrometers, verniers, height and depth comparator and air gages, etc. Perform first piece part, bench and periodic inspection as necessary within the limits of standard practice. Refer all questionable cases to Inspection Supervisor. Report reasons for defects or malfunctions WHO YOU ARE: You deeply understand mechanical principles. You enjoy troubleshooting and are the go-to problem solver. You learn quickly and can teach others what you’ve learned. Keeping your commitments to customers is important. You communicate clearly and effectively even under pressure. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE e SKILLS: High School or GED Three years inspection experience Lifting up to 30 pounds US Citizenship due to US Navy contractual requirements Ability to read blueprints Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometers, verniers, height and depth comparators, and air gages. Able to work with minimal supervision Willing to work overtime to satisfy emergency or critical customer shipments. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE e SKILLS: Technical or trades training preferred Experience with MRP or ERP systems Proficiency with MS Office CMM experience WHY EMERSON?
